Some more of THINGS I WANT TO DO IN MY LIFE:

* Wear a size 12
* Feel good about running a mile - but I certainly don't want to be a runner :)
* I want to have a photograph published
* Visit Alaska
* Swing on a tire swing
* Wear my hair long - midback
* Wear my hair short

What else I'm watching ...

Oceans 12 - I THINK it was good :) I didn't really pay too much attention to it. What I saw of it - I liked it!

Closer - This was a nifty little flick. Jude Law is in everything isn't he??? I did not think this was Julia Roberts best - but Natalie Portman was great playing her normal "quirky" character. she's just gorgeous - is she not? Not such a feel good movie for the married folk - and made me feel like I needed to take a shower. CLive Owen was scarily good.

What I've been Watching...

Family Plots - This TV show is amazingly bizarre. I'm entranced by their disfunctional family - and the Six Feet Under themed death business.

Real World Austin - WOW - I'm glad by kids are under 18 still. These kids make me sad. I know there are redeeming values that Mtv doesn't show for the sake of non-drama - but I really hope that all 18-25 year olds are not so slutty, ignorant, entitled, selfish and moraleless. I'm not a prude - and I sure do enjoy watching the drama they bring - but I just keep thinking of how their parents must feel watching them act like this on national TV.

Anna my somersaulter...

I just can't believe Anna can do actual somersaults already!!! We have it on video and everything! ;) It's sooo cute. I just wish I could get back to that time in my life where the most fun you could hve was to spin in a circle and get dizzy! That's her other favorite past time right now... well and dancing! ;)

So - one more week till my vacation!

We bought the coolest things for our dogs - these pop up (think like play-hut toys or those window shades) dog kennels! THey are going to be perfect for travel and in hotels - etc! They fold down into about a 8 inch diameter circle about an inch wide!

Two more weeks!

Two more weeks before my vacation! I just can't wait. Ok - I'm just here imagining myself relaxing on the beach - looking at those beautifully glorious mountains surrounding me in their familiarity. Ahhhh - I can feel that sand in my toes and that refreshingly COOLER sun beating down on me... ok - now the cold lake water... looking straight down into the bottom of this clear water ahhhhhhh.... Now I'm sitting by the campfire - smelling that familiar smoky air - looking at an endless dark sky sparkled by millions of bright stars.

2 more weeks! 2 more weeks! 2 more weeks!

So - my fat butt is actually shrinking...

I haven't really shared this in an open forum yet - but I'm a little over a month into Weight Watchers and so far without a whole lot of effort - I have lost 10 lbs. We're making some positive changes and I feel a hell of a lot better. As I've mentioned before - I'm fat. I'm not ok with being fat - but I am ok with me. So - I've reached a point in life where I'm working to lose a lot of things - my guilt, my blame, my clutter, my ass :). So - that's where I am right now.

So - I started with my fat butt being at 330lbs. I'm down to 320 from 6/1. I'm hoping to reach my 10% goal (297 lbs) by August 31.

A lot of my WW buddies have asked me why I feel that I need to do this now? Why is the time right? Why am I ready? What makes me think I can do this? So - my answer could be the easy obvious one - that I want to be better at what I do - I want to be a better mom - I want to play and have fun and not be winded all the time. Yeah - that's part of it, and probably a big part of it. More that that superficial answer though lies the real and harder to admit answers - I want to be a role model for my girls. I want them to be healthy and I want them to not have to constantly battle the ever present body image monster. It's always going to be there - people who will make them feel too tall, too fat, too short, too ugly, too TOO! I want them to know that food is fuel. I want them to be adventurous and active - not holding back from life.

Are there more reasons?
- I don't want to be one of those 35 year old heart attack victims
- I want to be able to buy clothes in the non fat person section
- I don't want to be diabetic
- I want to be able to be a swim instructor
- I want to see what I look like under this fat
- I want to climb mountains
- I want to be able to swim more than 4 laps without being winded
- Ummmm - I just am tired of being fat

I just love these days of Fla-Vor-Ice :)

Summer and the 4th of July will always remind me of Fla-Vor-Ice. I just those these popsicles. I love that the green ones always make me cough.

What I'm Watching - I Heart Huckabees

I tried to watch this movie with the kids around - after about 2 minutes it had to be turned off due to the unbelievably large amounts of profanity.

So - kids asleep - we tried it again tonight. I really LOVE this movie. It's hilarious! Mark Whalberg is soooo damn funny. The cast rocks.

I enjoyed that this movie was so hard to watch - I just couldn't get my head around what was going on for a while - but thought it ended spectacularly. Two thumbs up.

What I'm watching - Finding Neverland

This was one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Sad, depressing but good. Johnny Depp really is amazing. I've always loved Kate Winslet.

These kids are beautiful.

Parenting is a crack up (m)

Somedays it is such hard work - other days it's just pure joy. Most days it's a bit of both.

Julia has turned into a mini me she is sassy, tough, funny and full of life. She enjoys just about everything and has such a huge brain and is learning to use it. It's scary - VERY scary sometimes but it's amazing to watch. The other night Dan called her to dinner and her reply, "Dad, I'm coming, don't be psychotic!" Psychotic! She's 4!

Then the other night in the pool at my parents house she used the word PRECISELY! Awesome.

Anna is so much fun and so much work! Nothing can be done with her around - she is a climber and an electrical addict. She loves electrical outlets. She has brought a whole new meaning to baby proofing. She's such a sweetie. When she's not sweet - she's horrid... ya know "There was a little girl who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead, when she was good she was very very good, but when she was bad she was HORRIBLE" That's Anna. Anna is a biter (although much less often), a pusher, a hitter, a pincher... she's crazy. She is sooo sweet though. She's started babbling - Poppa, hi, buh bye, nighnight... :) it's sooo cute. And her dancing - oh my. The cutest thing EVER - she gets so into it. The best part for me is watching her look up to her big sister and imitate her.

Yes - this is a big brag on my kids - but it's all I can think of right now...

Night on...

What I'm Watching... The Notebook

It was good... not as good as I had hoped. I didn't really feel the amazing connection between anyone as hoped. Ahhh - somethings are left to be read...

What I'm watching... Star Wars III

It was aweseome. We took the girls to the drive in movie. I'm so glad we did - it was a great experience. We had the perfect set-up with the van. We watched Madagascar first and then the girls were asleep 15 minutes into Star Wars.

SO - Star Wars... I first have to admit that a lot of the visuals were lost because of the Drive in set up - but you do what you can to see a movie! I was so impressed with this movie - by far the best of the "newbies". Hayden Christensen drives me nuts still. Natalie Portman is so cute - although out of all her work I like her least in these. Ewan MacGregor was great - so was Sammy Jackson. I was so excited to see my favorite wookie Chewy... and of course Yoda.

The end was powerful and amazing - Vader taking his first breath and Luke and Leia's birth ... chills....

I can't wait to see the entire body of work at one time... now I have to decide watching it I-VI or IV-VI then I-III.
