Julia scored her first goal today. After two seasons of soccer she managed to get the ball in the goal.
WHOO HOO! There is nothing better than seeing your kid proud of their acheivements.
I've heard all my life at what a shitty soccer player I was. I stood on teh field and wouldn't kick the ball because I didn't want to get my white shoes dirty.
So today - I applaud my daughter for getting in the game. For running hard after that ball, for fighting for the ball, for being happy with the game even when she couldn't get a goal. For being happy for her friends when they do score - and for being a good sport when she finally does.
