I was in my RE's office and we were discussing the things you discuss with an RE when you are NOT trying to have babies. Birth control.

She was apparently putting her stamp of approval on my choice of the Mirena IUD.

"That's a great choice. We don't want you on any hormones, and the hormones in the Mirena are localized and don't seem to effect your other issues. Besides, you'll probably only need one more before menopause."

"Wait!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell was that?

Did you just say *gasp* MENOPAUSE???

But I'm young.

I'm having babies.

Well, not now. And probably never again... but wha???"

She did.

I had a conversation with a doctor that involved my pending menopause.

Hol-eee shit. That makes me feel way old.

Yes I understand we're talking 10-15 years from now, but yikes. Way to make it seem right around the corner.
